Brig. Gen. Zwack retired after more than 34 years of U.S. military service in key leadership and staff positions in Afghanistan, South Korea, Balkans and Germany. His most recent position was representing the U.S. Department of Defense as senior defense attaché to the Russian Federation in Moscow, where he was eyewitness to the tumultuous events and troubling changes involving Russia and our security relationship over the past year. Zwack has received many awards and decorations including the Bronze Star, Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, the Afghanistan, Kosovo, Korea and NATO Medals, the Ranger Tab and Paratrooper badge.
