Circle of Scholars

Founded in 1994, the Circle of Scholars offers seminars to members in literature, history, science, music, art, religion and film.

Seminars

Seminars start in late September and again in early February, and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. While they carry no credit and there are no exams, some instructors may suggest or require a text and possibly ask for outside research. Seminars usually meet once a week Monday through Friday and run from two to eight weeks. They are scheduled between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., and cost from $10 to $40, depending on the length of the seminar. Some are facilitated by Salve Regina faculty, others by Circle of Scholar members or guests who volunteer to conduct a seminar. If you have a special interest and wish to be a seminar facilitator, let us know and we will forward more information to you.
