University Laptop Program

Salve Regina's recommended laptop program is designed to accommodate students with varying needs. The program offers a standardized HP laptop to all incoming freshmen and eligible transfer students, with a focus on improving the learning experience and collaborative abilities for all students interested in participating.

To facilitate this program, Salve Regina has formed a partnership with HP to offer students a top-of-the-line laptop at an affordable cost. All laptops are equipped with a pre-loaded software package designed to offer students the basic tools they will need while attending the University, along with warranty and accidental damage coverage for a full four years.

• Through the partnership with HP, students can save a significant amount of money compared to what they would pay if they purchased their computer elsewhere.
• The software package offered through the program includes the basic elements students will need to accomplish their work, along with tools that will keep their computers safe and secure.
• The program improves the overall quality of technical support the University can offer. Students who participate in the program benefit from onsite services provided through Salve Regina's business partner, CompUtopia. These services include hardware repair and replacement, along with warranty-based services and accidental damage repairs.
• Each laptop is delivered with a standard Salve Regina software image, ensuring that the laptop is configured properly and the software is ready for use. It also allows support staff the ability to quickly restore student computers to their original state should they have any issues during the academic year.
• Academically, the laptop program allows participating students access to the same technology as their instructors, who utilize this technology as they produce new course material and plan course activities.
