Download the AIMS Application

Salve Regina University and the Multicultural Affairs Council of Aquidneck Island have been committed to the educational advancement of multicultural students and students committed to diversity. Recipients of the Aquidneck Island Multicultural Scholarship have made many contributions to the Salve community, the Aquidneck Island community, and their own local communities.

For over a decade, the AIMS selection committee has contributed to expanding the diversity and multicultural efforts on the Salve Regina University campus. Some of the founding members of the scholarship still serve on the selection board, showing the long term commitment to multiculturalism at Salve. Traditionally, the AIMS Scholarship has been awarded annually to a resident of Aquidneck Island. In 2003, the scholarship selection committee decided to expand this commitment nationally and opened the scholarship to all qualified high school students.

The AIMS selection committee is dedicated to making a Salve Regina University education affordable and financially feasible. They are also dedicated to making the learning experience at Salve well rounded, which can only be achieved by having a diverse student body with all different perspectives.
