International Student Services

Each year, we welcome students from around the world, including freshmen, transfer, graduate, second degree and exchange students. Our international students bring a unique perspective to campus, which is valued by students, faculty and staff.

We assist prospective international students with the application process and newly accepted students with all pre-arrival steps including travel documentation, applying for a visa, getting to Newport, housing and things to bring. We also host a weeklong international student orientation that helps make the transition to life at Salve Regina as smooth as possible.

Once international students have begun their studies at Salve Regina, our dedicated team is available on a regular basis, assisting with the federal and state regulations affecting international students (immigration, taxes) as well as supporting students academically, culturally and personally.

International Tuition Payments

Salve Regina has partnered with peerTransfer to offer a streamlined, cost-saving option for making international tuition payments. Through this partnership, students and families are offered favorable foreign exchange rates, the ability to pay in their home currency (in most cases) and savings compared to traditional banks. In addition, students can track their payments via peerTransfer's dashboard and be notified via email and/or text when Salve Regina receives the payment.

Current Students

Attending Salve Regina as an international student or scholar requires many forms. Some satisfy the needs of the U.S. government, while others are required by the University.

Proper planning is crucial for the timely processing of applications. Most of the documents below are in PDF format and the majority of the forms are fillable, provided your PDF viewer supports fillable forms. If you do not have a PDF viewer, you may download Acrobat Reader for free.
