NEWPORT, R.I. – Ellen F. McCarty, professor of nursing at Salve Regina University, has been appointed to the board of trustees of the St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island.
McCarty, of Somerset, Mass., is a scholar and researcher in the areas of geropsychiatry and family care. She serves as chairperson of Salve Regina’s Institutional Review Board.
She received her Ph.D. in Nursing from the Boston College School of Nursing and her M.S. in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the Boston University School of Nursing.
