NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has been selected by The Princeton Review as one of 222 colleges it considers “Best in the Northeast.” The rankings appear on the publication’s website feature, “2013 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”
In all, The Princeton Review profiles 633 schools it recommends as “regional bests” across four locales: the Northeast, the Southeast, the Midwest, and the West.
From hundreds of institutions reviewed in each region, The Princeton Review made its selections based primarily on excellence of academic programs. It also took into account what students attending the schools reported about their campus experiences on a student survey for this project.
The Review’s “regional best” colleges constitute a select group representing 25 percent of the nation’s four-year colleges. “We believe our choices offer applicants and their parents a wide range of fine schools to consider,” said Robert Frank, senior vice president and publisher.
