NEWPORT, R.I. – Max Shubert, 19, a sophomore administration of justice major from West Chester, Pa., has been crowned the National Boys Index Champion by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Shubert bested a field of the top 10 qualifiers at the 3rd Annual NCSA National Index Championship held in Colorado Springs, Colo. on May 15. He will represent the U.S. at the International Index Invitational in Orlando, Fla. in July, where he will compete against athletes Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland.
The NSCA Index Competition includes the Vertical Jump, Pro-Agility Run, 10-yard Dash, and the Hang Clean. The NSCA index is based on performance with body weight taken into consideration with a separate Index for boys and girls.
