NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University has again been ranked among the best institutions of higher education in the United States, according to the annual survey conducted by U.S. News & World Report.
In the 2013 edition of the publication’s “Best Colleges” feature, Salve Regina ranks 38th among Regional Universities – North institutions. According to the magazine’s methodology, regional universities offer a full range of undergraduate programs and some master’s degree programs. Salve Regina also offers a doctoral program in the humanities.
The northern region includes colleges and universities in New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic states.
The magazine annually rates more than 1,400 colleges and universities on 16 indicators of academic excellence including selectivity, peer assessment, retention rate, financial resources, class size, student-faculty ratio, proportion of full-time faculty and alumni giving.
