NEWPORT, R.I. – Registrations are currently being accepted for the second annual Holistic Leadership Institute scheduled for July 8-11 at Salve Regina University’s historic campus.
The summer institute gives an experiential overview of holistic leadership perspectives, including personal development, systems thinking, and creative leadership skills.
According to Dr. Nancy Gordon, program director of the Holistic Leadership and Holistic Counseling graduate programs at Salve Regina, “Our world is changing, new kinds of leaders are needed everywhere. Personally effective leaders understand how to lead on many levels. Our training incorporates a five-level model that teaches personal awareness skills, collaborative work for both small and large groups, and perspectives for large system change. We want to make the components of our five-level model meaningful for professionals from many disciplines. That is why our four-day Institute offers practical tools that may be used immediately for everyone who is drawn to leadership roles in the 21st century.”
The Institute will include faculty members from Salve Regina University’s Holistic Graduate programs. University dorm room accommodations will be available for out-of-state students.
Professional Development CEU’s are available for those who wish to receive them. All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. The Institute may be used as a prerequisite course for those who want to apply for the 12-credit Certificate of Graduate Studies in Holistic Leadership or for those who are interested in applying for the Masters Degree in Holistic Leadership. The Holistic Leadership Institute also has a one-credit course option for those wishing to receive graduate credit.
Salve Regina University offers Masters Degree programs or Certificates of Graduate Studies in Holistic Leadership, Holistic Counseling and Expressive and Creative Arts.
