NEWPORT, R.I. – With the campaign season heading into the home stretch toward the Nov. 6 election day finish line, the third and final debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney turns its focus to foreign policy.
Once again, Salve Regina’s Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy invites members of the public to the concluding event in its debate-watch series when it hosts “Obama vs. Romney III: Issue Forum and Debate Watch” on Monday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. in Bazarsky Lecture Hall, located in O’Hare Academic Center on Ochre Point Avenue.
Jim Ludes, Pell Center executive director and a veteran insider of the last two presidential campaigns, will share his views on the national security challenges facing the next president, no matter who wins. Students will offer their remarks and audience members will have the chance to express their opinions, both before and after the debate.
Obama and Romney will be squaring off in the event hosted by Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. and moderated by CBS News’ Bob Schieffer.
Those interested in attending Salve Regina’s debate watch event are asked to RSVP by Oct. 22 to pellcenter@salve.edu or by calling 401-341-2927.
