NEWPORT, R.I. - The Department of Performing Arts is accepting reservations for "Fun, Food and Follies," the 12th annual Madrigals Cabaret Dinner, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, March 19 in the Ochre Court state dining room. The evening will feature the Madrigals both serving dinner and performing solos and duets from popular and music theater repertoire.
Admission is $30 per person and $15 for students on the Salve Regina meal plan and children under 12. Proceeds from the event benefit the Salve Regina Haitian relief fund and the Madrigals concert tour fund, which supports travel to performances in major cities within the United States and abroad. Past trips have included Montreal, Ireland and Italy.
Guests may choose from one of three entrees: Baked stuffed sole with lobster sauce, marinated grilled chicken with sundried tomatoes and caramelized onion cream sauce or vegetarian portabella napoleon. All dinners are served with garden fresh vegetables, a dessert of miniature pastries with fresh berries and coffee or tea.
