NEWPORT, R.I. – AIGA Rhode Island’s first student design conference – Get Real! – will be held Thursday and Friday, Sept. 23-24, at both Salve Regina University and Roger Williams University.
The keynote speaker is Dana Arnett of VSA Partners of Chicago, who will talk about branding, design and other topics. Arnett’s clients include Nike, IBM and School of Rock.
Salve Regina’s Antone Academic Center for Culture and the Arts will be the site for activities on Friday, Sept. 24. Salve Regina graduates Whitney Bushee and Patti Murphy will participate in an alumni panel discussion during the day.
Workshops will also include Photoshop tips and tricks, taught by Rhode Island School of Design graduate Matthew Clowney. Other workshops include bookbinding with Mohawk paper samples, pre-press tips, and Behance demonstration.
