NEWPORT, R.I. – Suzanne Delle, award-winning actress, director and founder of Yellow Taxi Productions in New Hampshire, has joined the Salve Regina University community as assistant professor of theatre arts and artistic director of the historic Stanford White Casino Theatre.

In her faculty role at Salve Regina, Delle will teach courses, plan and produce student productions, serve as advisor to theatre clubs, assess and revise the curriculum of the theatre program, and create a plan for the growth of the theatre and dance programs.

At Stanford White Casino Theatre, owned by the International Tennis Hall of Fame and managed by Salve Regina, Delle will work year-round as a liaison to the region’s theatre community to promote artistic collaboration and involvement, including fundraising and grant-writing efforts.

Delle has a bachelor of arts in theatre from Connecticut College, a master of arts in arts administration from Goucher College, and a master of fine arts in directing from The Catholic University of America.

Named one of New Hampshire Magazine’s 2007 Remarkable Women in the Arts, Delle served as artistic director of the theatrical company she founded, Yellow Taxi Productions, in Nashua. Yellow Taxi Production was recognized with seven New Hampshire Theatre Award nominations in 2009, including two for Delle. She received nominations as Best Director for “Burn This” and Best Actress for her role as Anna, also in “Burn This."

The awards will be handed out at the 8th Annual Awards show at the Palace Theatre in Manchester on Feb. 5.
