NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina graduate Giuliana Nava, who earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2010, is producing a monthly video blog for BestNursingDegree.com about her experiences as a new nurse to help students learn more about the nursing field.
Her first video blog entry on “Talking to doctors” is now featured on the BestNursingDegree’s New Nurse Survival Guide section under its “On the Job” tab at http://www.bestnursingdegree.com. BestNursingDegree.com is a Cambridge, Mass.-based comprehensive online nursing education directory and resource.
Nava is currently a registered nurse at The Miriam Hospital in Providence. While a student at Salve Regina, she wrote about her experiences and produced short videos of her classmates while working for Evolve Elsevier.
For more than 60 years, Salve Regina’s nursing department has been preparing ethically grounded, clinically competent professional nurses who are committed to human service and social justice.
The university offers two plans of study leading to the bachelor of science degree in nursing (the pre-licensure track that prepares students to become registered nurses) and the degree completion degree track for students who are already registered nurses.
