RISCA Fellowship Exhibition features ‘Writers Night’ on Feb. 26

As part of the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Fellowship Exhibition currently on exhibit through March 6 at Salve Regina University’s Dorrance Hamilton Gallery, several award winners in literature will read from their most recent works on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Free and open to the public, the presentations will be given in DiStefano Lecture Hall, adjacent to Hamilton Gallery in the Antone Academic Center, corner of Lawrence and Leroy avenues. The Gallery opens at 11 a.m.

Readings will be presented by fiction writer Serge Shea and Michael Stewart, playwrights Jed Hancock-Brainerd, Rebecca Noon and Lawrence Goodman, and poets Julie Danhoe and Colin Channer. Also, a presentation by Folk Arts Fellow Rachel Rosenkrantz will be given.

The RISCA Fellowship Exhibition showcases works by Rhode Island artists who have been recognized by the state for their artistic excellence. This year, the creative achievements of 25 artists are featured in the program's 11th exhibition.
