Fr. Kris von Maluski joined the Salve Regina community as University Chaplain in July 2009. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, Father Kris worked in the defense industry while volunteering for a youth outreach organization in Newport in the mid-1980s. He found that ministering to young people was such rewarding work that he gave up his career to work as a regional youth minister for the Diocese of Providence. He went on to study for the priesthood at The American College of the Immaculate Conception and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a Lt. Student Chaplain in Rota, Spain. Ordained in 2001, Fr. Kris brings a genuine sense of joy, a love of the scriptures and sacraments, and a deep desire to serve the Salve Regina University community.
