ALUMNI EXPERIENCE

Graduate Studies alumni include professionals from a multitude of industries, organizations and fields of service. Educated with advanced knowledge in the principles of justice and humanity, they represent the highest standards of leadership, management and human relations.


AlumniT. Joseph Almond (Master of Science, Administration of Justice ’98) serves as Town Administrator for Lincoln, RI.

He is responsible for the overall management of the town’s municipal government. The current population of the town is 22,000 and the annual budget is $69,000,000.  Prior to being elected as Lincoln’s Town Administrator, Mr. Almond was employed at Lincoln Park for six years as a member of the Senior Management Staff.  He has been a volunteer fire/rescue worker and served in the Lincoln Police Department for over 23 years.  He retired in 2000 with the rank of Lieutenant. 


AlumniAugust B. Cordeiro (Master of Science, Health Service Administration) serves as the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
Rhode Island Hospital & Hasbro Children's Hospital.

John RistainoJohn Ristaino (Master’s in Business Administration, ’06) recently accepted the position of Regional Director for Rhode Island’s non-profit organization Work Opportunities Unlimited. He previously served as Chief of Staff for Bank of Boston’s Commercial Loan Services, and Campaign Ambassador for the United Way of Rhode Island.

Rosemary J. Wentworth (MA in Holistic Counseling ‘06) serves as a clinician at Phoenix House of New England in Exeter, RI. She recently gave a presentation in Edinburgh, Scotland on her research paper “Changes: Meditation, Mindful Awareness and the Expressive Arts: a Cognitive Restructuring Paradigm working with substance abuse and incarcerated individuals.” In July 2007, she will be traveling to China and Mongolia as a professional delegate with the American Counseling Association to exchange ideas build bridges toward multicultural understanding.

Luis San LucasLt. Luis F. San Lucas (MS Administration of Justice ‘01) of the Providence Police Department was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2005, becoming the first Latino in the history of the Providence Police Department to achieve the rank of lieutenant. He currently supervises between 35-50 personnel as Night Watch Shift Commander.
