Day of Service 2013
When 500 first-year students descended on Aquidneck Island Sept. 3 for Salve Regina’s first-ever Day of Service, they embarked on a mission to serve their local community – a mission that Kelly Powers hopes will endure throughout this academic year.
“I was so impressed with the enthusiasm of our community partners leading up to the Day of Service, and the dedication of the students at each of their sites,” said Powers, director of community service. “This is a positive start to a new tradition at Salve Regina.”
Powers also reminded students that her office moved over the summer, and students can now find the Office of Community Service on the second floor of McAuley Hall in Rooms 209-210.
