Class Deans

Each class at Salve Regina is assigned a Class Dean for its four years at the University. Class Deans are faculty members who have been given increased responsibility in supporting students. They facilitate academic, personal and holistic development by encouraging students to participate in academic services, co-curricular offerings, faculty-student programs and various other opportunities around campus. Class Deans also help to develop student engagement in the Navigator Leadership Development Program and build affinity to the class and the University.

The class dean is:

  • A mentor
  • A resource for students who have concerns and don’t know where to go for help
  • A resource to faculty, staff and the University on the class profile, as well as the successes and needs of the class
  • A resource for students who want to get involved in extracurricular and co-curricular programs and experiences that enhance their academic and personal success
  • A guide to the Navigator Leadership Development Program
