Andy LeColst begins his third season behind the bench as head coach of the Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team. After guiding the Seahawks to a 10-10-4 record in his first season in Newport, the team struggled through a 3-17-2 mark last season.

LeColst took over the reign of the Seahawks men's ice hockey program after spending two seasons as an assistant at Peabody H.S. in Massachusetts. Prior to that, he worked an assistant coach for Bob Driscoll at his alma mater, Masconomet Regional, spending his final year there as head coach.

LeColst has also served as the President and Head Coach of the Middleton Mustangs U18 Junior Hockey Team, which has placed numerous players at the Division I and III levels. Additionally, he has worked as the director of scouting for the Jacksonville Barracudas of the Southern Professional League since January, 2005.

A 2001 graduate of Salem State College with a degree in SFL (sports, fitness, and leisure), LeColst played one year for the Vikings before trading in his skates for a whistle following his sophomore campaign due to a back injury.

LeColst is a security officer on the Bentley College police force. He resides in Middleton, Mass. with his wife, Katie.
