NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University field hockey team has earned the No. 5 seed in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Tournament and will travel to No. 4 New England College for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Seahawks have compiled a record of 8-9 (4-5 TCCC) heading into Wednesday's regular-season finale at UMass Dartmouth. Freshman Kelly Burke (Georgetown, Mass.) leads the Seahawks with 15 goals and 31 points while classmate Kelly Allan (East Killingly, Conn.) is second in both categories with five goals and 14 points. Juniors Brittney Lopes (Lexington, Mass.) and Ali Campagna (West Hartford, Conn.) are tied for third with identical stat lines of five goals, three assists and 13 points. In goal, senior Devin Eppley (Darien, Conn.) boasts an 8-9 mark with a 1.53 goals against average (GAA) and an .815 save percentage. She has also recorded two shutouts.

The Pilgrims hold a 16-7 edge in the all-time series and have won the last six contests, including a 2-1 decision earlier this season in Henniker, N.H. Lopes scored the lone goal for Salve Regina while Eppley made 11 saves.
