Pallotto Honored by TCCC

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's cross country freshman Paige Pallotto (Woodbridge, Conn.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Runner and Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Pallotto topped all TCCC runners and placed second overall at Saturday's Western New England College (WNEC) Invitational, helping Salve Regina capture a team victory. Her 5K time of 19:33 time was just four second behind the medalist in a 136-runner field.

"The more races Paige runs, the more she learns about collegiate racing," said women's cross country assistant coach Matthew Hird. "She is very good at analyzing her performance and drawing lessons."

The Seahawks host an alumni meet this Saturday, Oct. 24 at Brenton Point.
