Seahawks Host 'Pop Warner Day' on Saturday, Oct. 17
NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University football team will host 'Pop Warner Day' this Saturday, October 17 when the Seahawks host UMass Dartmouth at Gaudet Field at noon in Middletown.
Pop Warner football players from all teams and leagues who wear their team's jersey to the contest will be admitted to the game for free with a paying adult ticket. The players will then be granted the opportunity to greet the Seahawks as they come onto the field prior to the start of the contest. At halftime, the Pop Warner players will be recognized in an on-field ceremony.
"I am very proud that our football team is representing college football and Salve Regina University to the community and, specifically, young boys and girls who have an interest in the great game of football," said Salve Regina head coach Chris Robertson. "Our hope is that they have a positive experience in watching our team in action as football players and as positive role models."
Tickets for this game can be purchased the day of the game at the entrance to Gaudet Field.
