St. Onge Honored by NEFC

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior QB Jeff St. Onge (Kingston, N.H.) has been named to the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Honor Roll, one week after senior linebacker Nolan McGarrity (Verona, N.J.) earned the same honor.

St. Onge completed 23-of-37 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown and registered a team-high 52 yards on the ground and a pair of touchdowns in a 31-24 loss at Nichols on Saturday. He hooked up with junior Nick Piscitelli (North Haven, Conn.) for a 16-yard scoring strike midway through the second quarter and broke off touchdowns runs of two and 22 yards later in the contest. St. Onge's selection marks the third time he has been honored by the NEFC this season. Two weeks ago, he was named NEFC tri-Offensive Player of the Week, and this week's honor is his second Honor Roll selection of the season.

McGarrity, meanwhile, registered a game-high 16 tackles (12 solo) in a 19-7 loss to Curry on Saturday, October 3. He has now been branded with Honor Roll accolades twice this season.

The Seahawks (2-4, 1-2 NEFC) return to action on Saturday when they host UMass Dartmouth at Gaudet Field at Noon.
