NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior goalkeeper Devin Eppley (Darien, Conn.) has been named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Defensive Player of the Week. She shares the honor with Vicki Stoessel of Keene State.

Eppley - who earned The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday - went 3-0 with an .067 goals against average (GAA) and a .923 save percentage last week. She began the week by making six saves in a 2-1 overtime win against Fitchburg State on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Two days later, she recorded 18 saves in a 2-1 shootout win against Bridgewater, including stopping all four BSC penalty stroke shots in the stroke-off. She closed the week by playing the first 45 minutes of last Saturday's 7-0 win over Regis. On the season, Eppley is 6-4 with a 1.23 GAA and an .850 save percentage.

The Seahawks (6-4, 1-2 TCCC) return to action on Saturday when they travel to New England College for a 1 p.m. contest.
