Pallotto Earns TCCC Honors

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University women's cross country freshman Paige Pallotto (Woodbridge, Conn.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Runner and Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive week.

Pallotto led the Seahawks and placed 27th overall with a time of 19:09.23 on the 5K course at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Invitational in Dartmouth. As a result, the Seahawks took 15th place out of 42 schools and finished ahead of all six TCCC schools. Paige also outran every TCCC runner.

"Paige was shockingly quick, running the fastest time of her career," said assistant coach Matthew Hird following the race.

The Seahawks return to action next Saturday when they compete at the Connecticut College Invitational.
