McGarrity Earns NEFC Honors
NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior linebacker Nolan McGarrity (Verona, N.J.) has been named to the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Honor Roll.
McGarrity led the Seahawks with 11 tackles (five solo) - including 1.5 tackles for loss - and a pair of interception in last Saturday's 28-27 loss to Hartwick at Gaudet Field. McGarrity intercepted consecutive passes by Hartwick senior QB Brian Radley in the fourth quarter.
On the season, McGarrity leads the Seahawks and ranks second in the conference in both tackles (22) and interceptions (two). Last season, McGarrity led the NEFC in tackles with 103 (56 solo), which earned him NEFC All-Division First Team honors.
The Seahawks (0-2) return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bridgewater State for an NEFC contest at noon.
