Burke Named TCCC Rookie of the Week
NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University freshman Kelly Burke (Georgetown, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference field hockey Rookie of the Week.
Burke scored one goal in each of her first three collegiate games last week for the Seahawks, who have rebounded from a season-opening loss at Wheaton last Tuesday to post wins over Framingham State (2-0) and Eastern Connecticut State (4-0). Burke leads the Seahawks with six points.
The Seahawks return to action Tuesday afternoon when they host Salem State at Gaudet Field at 4 p.m.
