Political science internships connect classroom study to
the real world of law, politics, policy and business and help students to clarify
career goals and network with professionals. Students majoring in political
science are strongly encouraged to pursue internships.
Majors have the opportunity to complete semester-long,
three-credit state government internship placing them with an experienced
professional in a position best suited to their interests and goals.
Outstanding students in the department may be invited to participate in a
weeklong congressional internship in Washington, D.C. The department also
assists students in finding a wide variety of other internships.
