All pre-licensure nursing majors complete a minimum of
850 hours of experiential learning during their program of study. During the third and
fourth year of the program, students learn to provide care to individuals,
groups and communities, spanning all ages, with chronic, acute and complex
health issues.
Learning experiences are provided in the most
common places that nurses work – hospitals, schools, ambulatory care centers,
palliative and hospice care facilities, clinics, patient homes and as part of
disaster response activities.
