B.A. in Liberal Studies

A degree in liberal studies is designed for students returning to college with existing course credit from other institutions. The flexibility of the program allows students to use their previously earned credits to create a unique program of study while continuing to work toward the attainment of a bachelor's degree.

To enroll in the liberal studies program, students must have previously earned at least 60 undergraduate credits from a regionally accredited institution. Students must have earned a grade of C or higher in order to the transfer the credit.

Curriculum

In addition to completing the requirements of Salve Regina's Core Curriculum, students majoring in liberal studies develop an area of concentration, approved by the dean of arts and sciences, that incorporates previously earned credits with at least six credits earned at Salve Regina. Students earn at least 24 credits in their area of concentration and must successfully complete at least 120 credits to earn their degree.

In addition, Salve Regina offers joint bachelor's/master's programs leading to master's degrees in business administration, healthcare administration and management or management, providing a viable option for students wishing to further their study.
