Resources for Faculty

The Academic Center for Excellence provides the following information and resources for faculty:

  • Presentations: Peer tutors can give brief presentations lasting about five minutes to your classes. These presentations focus on the academic support available at the center, including tutoring, study groups, learning-to-learn assistance and more.
  • Study groups: Peer tutors can conduct study groups for your course, either before exams or at other points during the semester.
  • Test preparation: Center director Susan Pratt, an educational psychologist and learning specialist, can visit your class to discuss test preparation, test-taking skills and managing anxiety within the context of your discipline’s content and exam type. To schedule a visit, call (401) 341-2228 or email susan.pratt@salve.edu.
